Ideal trek for long weekends, Dayara Bugyal can be a perfect start for beginners. This region receives heavy snowfall during winters. The trek goes through open land and dense forest at different places ending up at the vast expanse of lush green meadow. Most of the trekkers start their trek from Barsu village and they trek down via Raithal to see the scenic beauty of both the routes.

ATM Point & Mobile Connectivity -
- ATM POINT: Withdraw money before your journey, Purola is the last point where you will find ATM. (If you want to withdraw money then do it in Dehradun.)
- Mobile Connectivity: There will be no networks during the trek, the networks are available at Purola. Ahead the connectivity gets intermittent. So make sure you finish all your important work and calls before starting of the trek.
Itinerary of Dayara Bugyal Trek –
Day 1: Dehradun to Raithal
- Altitude: 7,400 ft
- Stay in Guest house/homestay
- Drive 180km (6-7 hours)
- Raithal, is a pleasant village famous as base camp of Dayara Bugyal trek.
- It is around 38 km away from Uttarkashi.
- The village is flourished with lush greenery. Bhagirathi River flows throughout the way to the village.
- The route to Raithal is like a pathway between the mountains.
- You will get first glimpse of Gangotri range, Shrikanth peak from Moryana top. Here you will halt for a small break if you wish to capture the splendid peaks.
- You will spend the night in guest house or get authentic home stay.
Day 2- Raithal to Chelapada Via Gui
- Altitude: 7,400 to 9,500 ft
- Stay on meadows in tents
- Distance is 8 km will take 6-7 hours
- Start early morning with energized spirit to embark on the actual trek.
- The trail rises slowly as the forest clears and the next camping site of Chelapada will come.
- It will be a small hike. You can find a flowing stream next to the camping site.
- You might get some snow traces on the path.
- The trail is ascending gradually hence it will take around 6-7 hours to reach to the next resting point.
Day 3 – Chelapada to Dayara top and back Chelapada
- Altitude: 9,800ft to 12,100ft
- Distance is 6 km (each way), 6-7 hours
- Summit day finally arrived.
- Today you will go to the highest point and return back to the campsite.
- With the first few steps under forest, the trail gradually opens up, leading to vast meadows. Hereafter, you will find yourself trudging on the green meadows blossomed with colorful flowers.
Day 4 – Chelapada to Raithal and back to Dehradun
- Altitude: 9,900 to 7,400ft
- Distance: 3.5 km 2 hours
- This last day of Dayara Bugyal trekking, it involves descending down to Raithal along a well marked trail through the surrounding thickets.
- Catch sight of the charming village of Raithal and its adjoining settlements can about half way down the trail.
- Arrive at Raithal by afternoon and back to dehradun

Cancellation Policy -
- It is good to make your booking two months prior in advance. In the event of cancellation of any trek/adventure activity due to any reasons, it is compulsory to notify us in writing. Cancellation charges will only be effective from the date we receive your request in writing.
- If the trek is cancelled by us due to any reason (heavy snowfall, rainfall, natural disaster etc.) then the refund would not be initiated but you can go on the same trek another year.
The cancellation charges are as follows –
- (Bank charges deducted are not Refundable)
- Up to 30 Days – 90% cost is Refundable
- Between 21 to 30 Days – 50% cost is Refundable
- Less than 20 Days – No Refund
- (Refund is initiated in 7-8 business days)
Note: – If for some reason you are unable to carry your back pack then you can keep it at EarthWalker office) (Applicable charges are Rs 300 per day and per Backpack.)
